Flowers of Giverny, France

I was not lying when I said I needed to have a whole separate post for all my flower photos. It is slightly out of control. So here it is!

Hopefully you will feel like you've been there after all of these photos. It really is a beautiful place if you ever have the chance to visit.

As for me, I am having a wonderful weekend here with one of my greatest friends and her huz. Life is so much better with the people you love! They head to Barcelona tomorrow and I'll be so sad to see her leave but I know they will have a blast in Spain!

Paris: best day trip

If you are in Paris (especially in spring or summer time) then I highly recommend heading out of town and spending the day in Giverny. I've been there twice now and I loved it so much both times. I've also been to Versailles which is beautiful and magnificent but I like Giverny just a little bit more. I think it is more unique.

My mom saw my photos from when Stephanie and I went to Giverny and she wanted to go so we spent one of her days there and it was still just as beautiful as it was in springtime. We took the train and then rode bikes into town. Halfway through our visit to the Monet house and gardens I discovered the beloved "flower" setting on my mom's fancy camera. It was over. I went to town taking pictures of flowers. Literally, its embarrassing. I have more photos of flowers than of our entire trip I think.

So, now that its out in the open I am going to post the gallery of floral photos in another post because its just too much for one.

Tomorrow my friend Megan and her hubbs get into Paris and I am so happy! I haven't seen her since January! Cross your fingers for us that this miserable rain takes it easy on us.

What have you all been up to lately? Are you ready for fall?
Can someone please send me a pumpkin spice latte? Many thanks :)

Wanna make a swap?

I am already using the heater in my apartment. Ah, it is too cold for me and its only September! I am in s-e-r-i-o-u-s trouble.

While I sit here covered up in blankets and thinking about being at the beach and soaking up some rays I want to ask you all if anyone wants to join me in some button swapping? I've been meaning to ask all you lovely people for weeks but my distracted mind keeps forgetting. So, here it is. Anyone feel like making a trade? Leave a comment or e-mail me! :)

I hope you are staying warm - wherever you might be on this planet!

Italia: Milan & Bellagio

In May, my friend Isabelle and I went to Milan. Wow, has it really been so long since then? I never got to share this trip with you guys so here it is. We picked Milan because (and this is no lie) it was the cheapest flight from Paris. We are on a budget, what can we say?

I've been lucky enough to see a little bit of Italy (Florence, Rome, Cinque Terre) and so Milan had a lot to live up to. I wouldn't put Milan on my "must see" travel spots but no matter what city you find yourself in, Italy is always a treat. We drank more coffee and ate more ice cream than is probably healthy. We found some fun little spots like a Martini bar in the middle of a huge D&G and the best part of it all was our day trip to Lake Como. I could have spent days in Bellagio and been a very happy girl.

Bellagio is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The lake is perfect. I was on the look out for Mr. George Clooney but we didn't get that lucky. We did find a fun little bar that had sand and lounge chairs on the edge of the water so we posted up there for a while. It is probably the most relaxed I have felt since I've moved to Europe. I wish we had more time there and I would definitely go back again. So although Milan isn't the best spot I've been to, it was worth it to go to Bellagio. Definitely.

Have you been to Milan or Lake Como? What did you think about it?
